Where... Ingelsrud Guide and Scout Centre is located nearby a small Norwegian town called Skotterud in Hedmark county close to the Swedish border. If you travel by car Ingelsrud Guide and Scout Centre is two hours drive from Oslo and about 20 minutes from the Swedish small town Charlottenberg.
When… The best time to visit Ingelsrud Guide and Scout Centre is from early June until late August. The Guide and Scout Centre will be served by volunteer staff during the weeks 28-32 in the summer of 2010. The camp site and buildings are available for rent the rest of the year as well, with or without staff.
What… We offer a wide range of activities at and around the scout centre. The facilities include a camp site with a toilet building, drinking water, indoor accommodation, a lake for swimming and canoeing, possibilities to order food from our local grocer, and of course the great Ingelsrud Experience.
Activities The activities are divided into five groups based on the training programme offered by the Norwegian Guide and Scout Association and are linked to the scout method in different ways. Each activity has a specific goal. At every given time there will be a wide range of activities offered. When you arrive at Ingelsrud you will be given the complete list of activities offered during your stay. Most of the activities are included in the camp fee (maximum 2 activities per patrol per day), but some of them have a symbolic price.

Buildings Ingelsrud has several buildings, providing about 60 beds.
The main building offers 22 beds (2-6 beds per room), a kitchen, five bathrooms with showers and a living room. It also offers a conference room for 30 guests. During the summer months it is possible to rent either a room or a single bed in the building. The rest of the year the building is for let as one unit.
Stabburet is an old farm building transformed into a dormitory for the camp staff (Skogvokterne).
The barn is mainly used by the centre staff, and some activities will take place here. Gildehallen (the guild hall) is a large cafeteria/conference room with seeting for about 100 people. A large kitchen is connected to this hall. Some of the other rooms in the barn may be used as meeting rooms for up to 8 people.
A small chapel was put up during spring 2005, and here you can have your personal prayer or arrange a small service for your troop. The chapel has a beautiful view of the Ingelsrud lake and the camp site.
Gapahukene - small traditional Norwegian outdoor sleeping shelters for about 8 scouts each, are available for rent, one night at a time.
The camp site Ingelsrud Guide and Scout Centre is well suited as a camp site for all types of camps during the summer, and for weekend camps throughout the year. Today the guide and scout centre is the base for different theme camps, wilderness camps, camps with water activities and hiking camps.

Different areas for camp fires are available upon request. Firewood may be supplied.

Transportation to Ingelsrud is easiest done by your own/ rented bus or car. There is however a bus service running to Skotterud (about 4 km away) from Oslo Airport Gardermoen. To get to Ingelsrud from the bus stop you will have to walk or take a taxi.
Today a large group of venture scouts, Skogvokterne (Forest Guards),
are very important for the development and running of Ingelsrud Scout
Centre. The volunteers are from 16 to 35 years old and have very
different backgrounds; Carpenters, chefs, computer engineers,
electricians, teachers, plumbers, mechanical engineers, nurses, etc.
Due to this the Centre is developing rapidly and Skogvokterne are
prepared to take on bigger events during summer. This means your scout
group will be served by the best when visiting Ingelsrud!
